Do You Remember?

Do you remember the story about the old preacher who challenged his congregation with these words: "If you were arrested for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?" I'll take this a step further. What if you claimed to be a Christian and nobody believed you? 
In recent polls that have done, as many as one-quarter of all Americans believe that President Obama is actually a Muslim, despite the fact that during his campaign he put enormous effort into convincing the voters that he was a Christian. 
I wonder why no one on the Left was howling about Senator Obama's claims of faith in God and His Son Jesus Christ? 
When George W. Bush, early in his campaign, told reporters that the person who had most profoundly affected his life was Jesus Christ, it almost derailed his campaign! The media took his faith at face value and constantly threw it back at him. 
And what about John Ashcroft,his Attorney-General, a devout and open evangelical Christian? When it was discovered that Mr. Ashcroft held personal Bible studies in his DOJ office, the Left and the press demanded his resignation. Yet, when Mr. Obama's deputy press secretary insisted to reporters aboard Air Force One last week that, indeed, the President is "obviously a Christian [because] he prays every day," every member of the Mainstream Media was as quiet as a church mouse! 
Would this be considered 'double standard'?" But this is what political correctness, social Marxism, and thought-control does to a society.
And than we have the controversy over the Ground Zero Mosque, Formerly called "Cordoba House," then "Park 51 Mosque", and now we learn it's not really a mosque, but a community center with a small prayer space! '
What is this administration smoking, anyway?
The truth about Islam doesn't quite measure up to the good press that Islam has been getting lately. 
It seems the more our national self-image is battered and abused, the more we cozy up to our abusers. Can we not see what is happening in Europe to realize that we need to confront our own internal dangers before they get too big to handle. 
And than we have “Earl” out in the Atlantic, on the eve on the “Peace Talks” in Washington.

Things are quiet right now!


As a parent, you begin to wonder what your kids are doing when it gets quiet. A million things run through your mind when you know they are there, but you can't see them. This seems to be the state of time right now in Israel.

There is increasing speculation that Israel may be preparing for a military assault on Iran or a regional war involving Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza. Israel has placed its largest order of military fuel with the United States on record.

The Jewish state, earlier this month, ordered 284 million gallons of JP-8 aviation jet fuel, 100 million gallons of diesel fuel and 60 million gallons of unleaded gasoline – all suitable for military uses – at an estimated cost of $2 billion.


The sale was detailed in an Aug. 5 notification the Defense Security Cooperation Agency of the U.S. Department of Defense posted on its website, in compliance with the requirement to give Congress advance notice of foreign military sales.

"The proposed sale of the JP-8 aviation fuel will enable Israel to maintain the operational capability of its aircraft inventory," the notification to Congress said. "The unleaded gasoline and diesel fuel will be used for ground forces' vehicles and other equipment used in keeping peace and security in the region. Israel will have no difficulty absorbing this additional fuel into its armed forces.
"
By comparison, the last fuel order Israel placed with the U.S. was July 15, 2008, when Israel ordered 186 million gallons of JP-8 aviation jet fuel, 54 million gallons of diesel fuel and 28 million gallons of unleaded gasoline at an estimated cost of $1.3 billion.


Israel's last two military operations were the summer 2006 Lebanon War that last a little over one month and the Operation Cast Lead in the Gaza from Dec. 27, 2008, to Jan. 21, 2009.


Tensions in the Middle East have escalated since Iran made its nuclear power plant at Bushehr operational with the assistance of Russia earlier this month.

John Bolton, a former U.S. ambassador to the U.N., has warned repeatedly that Bushehr would be much more difficult for Israel to attack after it went operational, largely because any military strike would release radioactivity that could be harmful to the civilian population.

Israel's unwillingness to attack the Iranian nuclear power plant at Bushehr before it went operational has caused considerable controversy within Israel. The longer Israel waits to attack, the harder it will be for Israel "to accomplish the mission."

Many signs point to continuing tensions in the Middle East that could easily escalate into war.

The Jerusalem Post reported Aug. 20 reports are circulating in the region that Frederick Hoff, assistant to U.S. Middle East peace envoy George Mitchell, told Lebanese Army chief of staff Jean Kahwaji that Israel was ready to implement a plan to destroy within four hours all Lebanese military infrastructure, including army bases and offices, should another border-fire incident occur between Lebanese military and the Israel Defense Forces.

Iran has continued to maintained an aggressive posture after activating Bushehr, successfully test-firing a third-generation surface-to-surface solid-fuel Fateh 110 missile with a 150-mile range and unveiling an Iran-manufactured drone bomber with a flight range of 620 miles.

Nevertheless, the White House cautions that Iran is not on the verge of developing a nuclear weapon.

However while following the news in these past few days,  tensions between Israel and the Palestinians appear to be easing on the eve of resumed peace negotiations.

Could we be seeing the beginning of the end - the time the Bible describes as the "Rapture of the Church."

Days Like Never Before

I would have never thought that in my life time, I would live to see our country America, turn it's back on Israel and "throw them under the bus." But that is exactly what is happening today with the current administration.

This past week, Russia and Iran flaunted the start-up of Iran's first nuclear reactor in the faces of both America and Israel, and for all practical purposes, it showed how Russia will be a major player during the Tribulation period.


It is believed that Israel has revived its military option against Iran - especially since Iran activated the nuclear reactor at Bushehr on Aug. 21. I believe that this will put the Obama administration under enormous pressure. I believe this may be why he sent the representatives Jerusalem to try and check if an Israeli attack could be in the making. 


If you read my blog on Jeremiah 49:38 Elam, you might understand the strategic importance of this location and End Time Prophecy. We have to realize it's not just about a nuclear reactor in a country that wants to destroy Israel off the face of the earth, although that is pretty big.


It is all about what God Himself is about to do. And that seem to be what everybody is missing.

I Was Just Thinking

This is one of those days I guess I am thinking about all the “stuff” that is happening on every hand.

With all of the news about the New York City mosque, I wonder how much longer we, as a nation, are going to halt between our principles that have make the nation great, and the forces that want to destroy us.

We can go back to the remarks that Barack Obama has repeatedly claimed that the U.S. is "no longer a Christian nation." 

In May of this year, Rep. Randy Forbes, R-Va., specifically challenged the president's claims that America is not a Christian nation in a news conferenceannouncing the bill immediately following National Day of Prayer observance.

If you look at all of the facts. there is overwhelming evidence that this nation was born and birthed with Judeo-Christian principles, and I would challenge anybody to tell me that point in time when we ceased to be so, because it doesn't exist.
The full text of H.Res. 397 begins by asserting that "religious faith was not only important in official American life during the periods of discovery, exploration, colonization and growth but has also been acknowledged and incorporated into all three branches of the federal government from their very beginning."
Among the many historical proofs included in the bill were the following:
  1. Whereas in 1777, Congress, facing a national shortage of '"Bibles for our schools, and families, and for the public worship of God in our churches," announced that they "desired to have a Bible printed under their care and by their encouragement" and therefore ordered 20,000 copies of the Bible to be imported;

  1. Whereas in 1782, Congress pursued a plan to print a Bible that would be "a neat edition of the Holy Scriptures for the use of schools' and therefore approved the production of the first English language Bible printed in America that contained the congressional endorsement that 'the United States in Congress assembled … recommend this edition of the Bible to the inhabitants of the United States";

  1. Whereas the 1783 Treaty of Paris that officially ended the Revolution and established America as an independent [nation] begins with the appellation "In the name of the most holy and undivided Trinity";

  1. Whereas in 1795, during construction of the Capitol, a practice was instituted whereby "public worship is now regularly administered at the Capitol, every Sunday morning, at 11 o'clock";

  1. Whereas in 1789, Congress, in the midst of framing the Bill of Rights and the First Amendment, passed the first federal law touching education, declaring, "Religion, morality, and knowledge, being necessary to good government and the happiness of mankind, schools and the means of education shall forever be encouraged";

  1. Whereas by 1867, the church at the Capitol was the largest church in Washington, D.C., with up to 2,000 people a week attending Sunday service in the Hall of the House;

  1. Whereas in 1853, the United States Senate declared that the Founding Fathers "had no fear or jealousy of religion itself, nor did they wish to see us an irreligious people. … They did not intend to spread over all the public authorities and the whole public action of the nation the dead and revolting spectacle of atheistical apathy";

  1. Whereas in 1854, the United States House of Representatives declared "It [religion] must be considered as the foundation on which the whole structure rests. … Christianity, in its general principles, is the great conservative element on which we must rely for the purity and permanence of free institutions";

  1. Whereas President John Adams, one of only 2 signers of the Bill of Rights and First Amendment, declared "As the safety and prosperity of nations ultimately and essentially depend on the protection and the blessing of Almighty God, and the national acknowledgment of this truth is not only an indispensable duty which the people owe to Him";

  1. Whereas President Andrew Jackson declared that the Bible "is the rock on which our Republic rests";

  1. Whereas President Franklin D. Roosevelt not only led the Nation in a six-minute prayer during D-Day on June 6, 1944, but he also declared, "If we will not prepare to give all that we have and all that we are to preserve Christian civilization in our land, we shall go to destruction";

  1. Whereas President Dwight D. Eisenhower declared, "Without God there could be no American form of government, nor an American way of life. Recognition of the Supreme Being is the first, the most basic, expression of Americanism. Thus, the Founding Fathers of America saw it, and thus with God's help, it will continue to be," in a declaration later repeated with approval by President Gerald Ford;

  1. Whereas the United States Supreme Court has declared throughout the course of our Nation's history that the United States is "a Christian country," "a Christian nation," "a Christian people," "a religious people whose institutions presuppose a Supreme Being," and that "we cannot read into the Bill of Rights a philosophy of hostility to religion.”
And now, he is putting his weight behind the building of a mosque at Ground Zero, in New York City. Beware, it is coming!

Could We Be Close To The Rapture

Zechariah 12:9:(KJV) And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

Jeremiah 49:38 (KJV) And I will set my throne in Elam, and will destroy from thence the king and the princes, saith the LORD.

Elam is an ancient geographical location mentioned in the Bible. Today its location would be mainly in Iran with a small section in Iraq. It bordered with the ancient Babylonian Empire. The actual location of Elam would be the very northern end of the Persian Gulf and down along with the west coast of Iran.

Today one of main sections of ancient Elam would include Bushehr Province with the capital city of Bushehr. On a map of the Persian Gulf, Bushehr would be directly across from Kuwait.Bushehr is very important today because it is the location of Iran’s nuclear facility and has the attention of the world. Thus, the physical location of ancient Elam is critical today.

Elam was listed with the nations that assisted the Assyrians and Babylonians in their attacks against Jerusalem. The prophets Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel all write blistering judgments against Elam.

The Prophet Jeremiah speaks the most about Elam, as he describes a severe judgment against Elam. In very powerful language God describes His fierce anger and judgment against Elam. The judgment against Elam is very intense with language that is only found in these verses. These verses are found in Jeremiah 49:34,35.

The context of Jeremiah 49 is judgment on nations that will be fulfilled during the Day of the LORD. The judgment against Elam was not fulfilled but will be in the future. The prophecy speaks of the people being driven off the land and scattered into all the world. This has never happened in recorded history. It also speaks of the God of Israel setting His throne in Elam. This has never happened. This is all future because this prophecy was never fulfilled. It appears that with Elam now the focus of world attention, God is about to fulfill it. 

According to Obadiah 1:15, God judges nations in relation to what that nation does to Israel. The judgment as recorded in Jeremiah 49 indicates that Elam was a fierce enemy of Israel. It participated in two attacks on Jerusalem. Elam was with the Assyrians and assisted the Babylons in their attacks on Jerusalem. Now, Israel is once again a nation and ancient Elam/Iran is again trying to destroy Israel and capture Jerusalem. Iran wants to destroy Israel and drive the Jews into the entire world; therefore, Elam is going to be destroyed and the people scattered into the nations.

Right now Elam/Iran is a fierce enemy of Israel and wants to wipe Israel off the map. Literally, a nuclear reactor sits in Elam for the purpose of destroying Israel. Elam is Israel’s most dangerous enemy. 

Elam/Iran is also the center of Shiite Islam which wants to conquer the world for Allah. It is the center of belief in the Mahdi who the Shiite Muslims believe will lead Islam to conquer the world. Elam can be viewed as the number one enemy of the God of Israel. Shiite Islam led by Elam/Iran is about to violently collide with God's End-Time prophetic plan as stated in the Bible.

Jeremiah records in verse 35 that God is going to break the bow of Elam which means its military power. In verse 36, the prophet states,

"And upon Elam will I bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven..." This is the first time the term "Four winds" is used in the Bible. Later the Prophet Daniel uses this expression . It means fierce judgment. God is going to bring judgment from every angle and drive them off the land. A special judgment is decreed against Elam.

In verse 38, God is going to set His throne in Elam. This is an astonishing verse! This is the only nation other than Israel, where God states He is going to set His throne! It is clear from many scriptures that God is going to set His throne in His Holy Temple in Jerusalem. It appears that this verse is indicating that God's authority will be over Elam. 

Right now Islam is the authority over Elam as Iran is the center of militant Islam and the promotion of the Mahdi to rule the world. Is God singling out Elam because it is the center of Islam's attempt to destroy Israel and take over the world? This verse shows that Islam will be broken and the nation that wanted the Mahdi to conquer the world will be under the authority of the God of Israel.

In verse 39, Jeremiah wrote that in the "Latter-Day" God would bring the people back to Elam. This means that during the reign of the Lord Jesus, God is going to show His mercy and bring the Elam/Iranians back into the land.

Awesome events are about to break over Elam. They have a nuclear reactor and are making plans to destroy Israel. Elam is preparing for the Mahdi and world conquest. The prophecy recorded in Jeremiah 49:34-39 is waiting to be fulfilled. It appears the time to judge Elam/Iran and Islam is at hand. The throne of the Lord Jesus will be over Elam.
